Reserve your copy of Angels of the Mourning Light...

Due to new rules by Borders Inc, Waldenbooks will no longer carry books by local authors. My friend Charlene and I have been told our readers can reserve copies of our newest releases.

Waldenbooks in the Country Club Mall in LaVale is taking reservations for my newest novel Angels of the Mourning Light, which will be released in June 2009.

Please stop by or call (301-729-3400) to reserve your copy. Tell everyone you know and we'll reach those 200 reservations before you know it. They'll just need your name and phone number.

My goal is to have 200 people reserve copies so the store may be allowed by the corporate office to keep my books in stock and on the shelves; you will still be able to special order my books, but if they are in stock they will be more readily available for you.

And be sure to reserve my friend Charlene Haines' second book in her Unexpected Heroes series, which will be released in late April 2009. This is a great series for teens/young adults, so check it out.

If we show the corporate office our books sell and need to be on the shelves, maybe they will allow this to happen. Let your voice be heard: local authors do sell and people want to buy.

Since waldens will no longer be stocking local authors, can the rereleases of your first two books be reserved?

When we get closer to the re-releases, you should be able to either reserve them or have them ordered in. The only difference is the store won't have them on the shelves any longer. They'll still be able to get them like always, and they should be able to get them quickly.
