Our Animal Benefit...

Due to the biggest storm in over a decade, our animal benefit for the local no-kill shelters that was scheduled for Saturday 19 December had to be canceled. But even though the snow fell, the benefit was a big success. People donated supplies, bringing them before the snow fell Friday and some brought them the following week.

One of the big stars of the event was the faculty, staff, & students of Washington Middle School. In addition donating supplies, they collected over $200.00 for our shelters. I thank them on behalf of the animals they have helped save.

A big thank you to everyone who participated in the event; because of you the animals will have a happier, healthier life.

And the good news is we are working on rescheduling the event the Spring, mid-March. My friends and bestselling horror authors Brian Keene and J.F. Gonzalez have agreed to to come down for the event, and my friend and fellow local author Charlene Haines will be there with me, as well. And it is my hope the reissue of my first novel Into the Mirror Black will be available for all of you.

So as soon as we have a new date set in stone, I will let you know so we can work on making the second event even better than the first.

Don't forget our animal friends.
