Monday 9 August 2010: Temples, Tombs, & Teeny Kitties...
Hello, all you gorgeous people out there...not necessarily in the dark. I've been away from my blog for quite some time but today I decided, since I'm being lazy and lounging around in my bedroom watching movies, I should write something.
So let's talk about temples and tombs. I've been watching a lot of History International and channels like that because ancient civilizations always have fascinated me. Take for instance the Great Pyramid at Giza ( or Cheops or Khufu): scientific belief is it took 22 years to build. Did you know that for 22 years to be the correct timeframe, one of those massive stones weighing tons upon tons had to have been quarried, cut precisely, transported, and put into place every nine seconds? Sorry, I believe there is something else behind this. After all, it becoming more commonly accepted this pyramid is not a tomb as had been the belief for all these years.
And the Sumerians...Interestingly enough, this is credited as the first people to create a civilization: a city with streets laid out in a grid pattern, water & sewage systems, etc. Their writing, called cuneiform, has been found on a collection of clay tablets. Inscribed on this collection of tablets are tales or stories that closely correlate to stories in the Christian Bible. Also inscribed on these tablets are stories of ancient visitors from the stars who came to this planet to mine gold, which was essential to their survival. The Sumerian legend is that these visitors ixed their genetic material with the indigenous life here on Earth to create humans as a sort of workforce. The name of the first man in the Bible is Adam; the name of the first man in the Sumerian tablets is Adamus. Coincidence?
The scientific community likes to say ancient people built pyramids even though they could not have been in contact with each other because a pyramid is merely an easy shape to build. I'm not one for conspiracy theories and, although I believe there is life out there in this infinite universe, I don't know if it has visited our planet, but there is definitely something more than meets the eye here.
Look at Tiahuanaco in Bolivia. For a people with no written language and apparently no mathematical skills, they sure built an impeccable city thousands upon thousands of years ago. Very near Tiahuanaco is Puma Punku. Diorote stones, the only stone harder than Diorite is Diamond, so these stones would have had to have been cut using Diamonds, The cuts and channels in the stone are straight lines and the depths are perfect for the entire length, with no variations. It's amazing to see this on television, so I can only imagine what it would be like to see it in person. It's so intricately done, I couldn't possibly imagine not having some sort of advanced guidance.
But you all know how intrigued by all this stuff I am. I could ramble on for hours. In fact, I was talking with two good friends Sunday afternoon and we spent a couple hours talking about the Bible stories, alien life & possible visits, depictions of visitors from the stars going back to basic cave paintings all the way through Renaissance art and further on. We discussed how nearly every religious belief includes a god or son of a god descending from the sky or a lady giving birth to the son of a god, from Christianity to ancient China, to Hinduism, to Sanskrit tablets, and many, many more.
I gotta stop or I could go on for hours on these subjects. I'd love to go to some lectures by Erich von Daniken or Graham Hancock or someone like that. And we know I have a strange attraction to the mystery and legend of the crystal skulls. Thirteen skulls, one representing each of the thirteen planets in the universe that supports human life.
See, I told you I could go on and on. So let's talk about kittens. Ilsa, the beautiful orange foster cat, gave birth to five kittens late Thursday/early Friday. Two orange like her, two white-colored, and one black. I'll take pictures when they get older so we can post them on my Facebook fan page. They're so little right now but they're in great shape and getting bigger every day.
Also, don't forget about the fundraiser booksigning on Friday evening 27 August 2010 at Waldenbooks in the Country Club Mall in LaVale. You'll get 25% off coupons to buy books and part of the purchase price will be donated by Borders as a cash donation to a local no-kill animal rescue/shelter.
And I will be involved with another multi-author benefit event in Lebanon, PA, Saturday 14 August 2010. So if you are in the area, drop by and check us out.
That's all for now. I will try to keep everyone updated on a semi-regular basis instead of locking myself away in my mausoleum.
I've been slowly getting back to writing. I managed almost 2,000 words last night on Shadows Amongst the Moonlight. Keep good thoughts and energy coming my way and I will push past all the obstacles and maybe this book will be out by the end of the year. I hope so. That way I could potentially be in the Preditors & Editors Readers' Poll Top Ten for the fifth year in a row!
Okay, I shall cease my ramblings for now.
Nighty-nightmares,
