Supreme Court Ruling...

the supreme court ruling that says stopping the westboro baptists from picketing the funerals of fallen soldiers would be a breach of their religious freedom is complete and utter bullshit.

i am ashamed of the supreme court. the ruling is absolutely horrendous and should be overturned immediately regarding the picketing and hate-mongering at the funerals of our soldiers.

those judges should be thrown off their benches. if you & i picketed a jewish funeral or a black funeral or whatever, we'd be arrested for hate crime. these soldiers gave their lives for us and deserve to be laid to rest in peace and with honor. i am ashamed of this bullshit ruling. the soldiers earned much better than this from our country.

freedom of religion was meant, as anyone with half a working brain cell or partially firing synapse knows, to keep people from being killed by others because of their religious beliefs.

this ruling opens the door for every- and anything that can be claimed as a religious rite. what happens, supreme court, when some pervert uses that ruling as the basis of his/her defense for child molestation or such? and don't tell me someone is not gonna attempt it; you just wait and see.

i dedicate my books, in addition to animals i have known, to law enforcement officlals and military personnel. i take this ruling not only as an offense to myself, but as an unforgivable indignity to the our soldiers.

there is no excuse for this ruling. when the court gave this ruling, they quite obviously forgot their own ruling on what their definition of hate speech was. freedom of speech, my ass. this is hate speech, the definition of hate speech to be precise, and is not protected.

people in this country turned out in droves, and still do, debating over who should and should not be allowed to be legally married and yet this gross injustice of spewing hate speech at the funerals of fallen soldiers is permitted to go on and is deemed protected.

so we can be arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace (the actual charge is breach of peace) for using profanity or derogatory comments in public, and this is actual fact and people are convicted albeit of misdemeanors, but shouting "thank god for dead soldiers" at funerals for soldiers is protected? something is drastically wrong here.

i am ashamed. deeply ashamed.
