Good evening, minions. Welcome back to my lair.
I'm sad to report the death of a lovely little girl named Tink. Taken so young at only 10 years old. She was a loving kitty and she loved a lot. She will be missed. This picture captured her quite well.

The month of February will be more adventure. The 4 month old black male Anubis will be going along with three other males to the neuter clinic in McHenry on the 28th. There have been inquiries about the 5 kittens Anjelica had right before Christmas. Keep your legs crossed good homes will be found. Next up will be to get Anjelica spayed along with Ilsa this summer.
I found a great deal today: very nice inch by inch glass tiles for the backsplash in my kitchen. Believe it or not, they were on clearance for 25% of the retail cost. Amazing to get great tile for less than the cost of pressed beadboard. My goal is to have the roof over the kitchen and the future kitty room fixed this spring, then I can work on fixing the part of the kitchen ceiling, insulate and drywall the sink wall in the kitchen, and get the subfloor replaced. Then I can get he oak upper cabinets. After that, I want to get the mesa beige and mesa rust tile for the floor and install the glass tile backsplash. Last but not least, I want to get the milano mahogany countertop. By the end of this year, my goal is to finally, 4 years after the awful fire, to finally have a complete kitchen. Take a look at my picture and see what you think. I think it all looks really great together. A few splashes of red for color and I will have a high-end kitchen!
